Services

We provide the following services to all the scientists in the Department of Cell Biology:

  1. Generation of genome-edited cell lines
  2. Consultation and technical support on your genome-editing projects
  3. Hands on training of human pluripotent stem cell culture
  4. Assistance with cell sorting
  5. Assistance with Miseq
  6. Differentiation of human pluripotent stem cells

We also provide the following reagents:

  1. Quality controlled reagents for human ES/iPS cell culture
  2. DNA index primers for deep sequencing
  3. Purified Cpf1, SpCas9, HIFI-Cas9 and eSpCas9 proteins for genome editing

How to request the genome-editing services:

  1. Please contact Jiuchun at Jiuchun_Zhang@hms.harvard.edu to schedule an initial consultation
  2. Submit the completed Project Request Form signed by the Principle Investigator.
  3. The project will be assigned to a member of the Initiative.  Please contact the member for project progress thereafter.
  4. After obtaining the cells, please inform us the test results related to characterization of the cell lines (Imaging, WB and et al.).
  5. We provide instructions on how to write the genome-editing section of your Materials and Methods upon request.

The initiative should be cited as "The Initiative for Genome Editing and Neurodegeneration in Department of Cell Biology at Harvard Medical School (https://genome-editing-neurodegeneration.hms.harvard.edu/) " in your publication if you use our services or reagents/equipment. Please also share the authorship of your publication with individual scientists if we provide the cell lines or differentiated pluripotent stem cells for your research.
